Support a people under siege. Learn from leaders who call out hate. Promote courageous dialogue in any conflict.
The humanitarian crisis of the Rohingya people rages on, with a faction of ultra-nationalist Buddhists backing the Myanmar military’s brutal suppression.
In response, other Buddhist leaders are working tirelessly to counter hate speech and promote the Buddha’s admonition never to cause harm.
On Sunday, April 28th, a panel of these leaders will gather in Boulder, Colorado at a daylong event focused on the Rohingya crisis—and transcending hate and extremism in any conflict. There is also a screening of the acclaimed documentary The Venerable W. scheduled for Saturday, April 29th.
This will be an opportunity to learn more about the crisis and ways you can support the refugees. For more information and registration, visit the Eventbrite page.
Proceeds will benefit the Buddhist Humanitarian Project and our work supporting the peace process and providing aid to the Rohingya people.
